About the Team
This is a Christian blog team, we post links to breaking news that relates to the unfolding of Bible prophecy (war, famine, earthquakes, pestilence, false prophets, false Christs, mark of the beast, global community, etc.) from a futurist pre-tribulational pre-millennial perspective. The Prophecy News Blog offers links to real news, reflecting real prophecy, in real time.
How is this site different? We only post links to professional news organizations reporting news that reflects the unfolding of specific Bible prophecies. A list of the prophetic signs we follow can be found here.
Why do this?
Because we can. We are the first generation to be able to do this for ourselves. The average person now has access to more real-time information on global events than kings and presidents did in times past. The proliferation of internet news sources and services allows us to monitor events in real time and since many professional news sources may not give the same weight to certain topics as we would, we are able to post links to these news reports here. We believe that this effort can be a witness to the fact that the signs Jesus said would herald his return are happening and being reported in mainstream professional news media.
What counts?
Blog team, links to breaking news should be posted here, along with your brief commentary to provide context for readers. Links should be to news reports from professional news organizations. If you can cite the related prophetic scripture verse in your post, then please do so, if you don't have time to do that, that's ok, just be prepared to provide it if asked. There are many news stories that may be of general interest to a Christian audience but not directly related to prophecy and those kinds of general interest stories are best left to your own personal blogs. Because the gospel is to be preached to all nations (Matthew 24:14) this blog is international in focus and is not concerned with the domestic politics and culture wars of any one country.

We only monitor news relating to specific Bible prophecies. This is a very different approach than other sites that may give you news without any context or letting you know why it is important from a scriptural perspective.
Sources
We cite only mainstream professional news sources. We accept that mainstream news often has a liberal or conservative bias and this doesn't bother us, as we trust our readers to discern that for themselves. We cite professional sources because we believe that, for the most part, they are reporting what is really happening in a verifiable manner. This blog is about demonstrating that Bible prophecy is real, that prophetic events are happening, prophecies are being fulfilled and professional news sources can be used to verify the fulfillment of these prophecies.
